A Motorola Mobility Summer Intern Experience: Traffic Analyst Intern

Hello everybody!

Meet our next intern:

Name: Kyle Burton
University: Brigham Young University
Position: Traffic Analyst Intern
Location: Libertyville, Illinois

Check out what Kyle is involved in at MMI!:

This summer, I’m taking time off from being a Supply Chain Management student at Brigham Young University and working as a Traffic Analyst Intern for Motorola Mobility out of their headquarters in Libertyville, Illinois.

One of the coolest things about being at Motorola’s headquarters is the impressive Experience Center. The Experience Center is a kitchen, dining room, family room, and office all rolled into one. It is like a futuristic museum right in our own office! Every inch is covered with high-tech electronics.  It showcases Motorola products as they are designed to be experienced –in the home.

I walk by the Experience Center every day on my way to my desk. My curiosity finally got the better of me, so I emailed the team that runs it to schedule a group visit.

On our tour, we learned how Motorola builds products that automate everyday tasks. Did you know that you can hook up your entire house to your Android device? Our guide showed us how to dim the lights, set the thermostat, and watch the video of security cameras, all from the Droid Razr!

My favorite device was the MotoActv Golf Edition, which wirelessly uploads all of your golf-game data onto your computer. Did you know that Bubba Watson used the MotoActv when he played his practice round before he won the Masters? We saw his practice round on the computer upload.  It was beyond amazing. You can check it out too:

Our guide was great, the products were cool, and my team loved it. Go Motorola!
